What is IVF, Process and Cost?

There are many women among world who are facing problem in getting pregnant. It can be due to their life style or many problems in their body. Using the IVF process, woman can get pregnant and couple can have their own child. IVF is In Vitro Fertilization which is part for reproduction technology. IVF PROCESS

Process of IVF includes four steps which are described below.

Step 1: Ovulation induction

This is first step of IVF process. In this, doctor first check about the capacity of your ovaries to produce eggs. For further process, doctor ensures that your   produce eggs on time and hormonal balance is good. Certain medicine and injections are given due to which your ovaries will produce more and more eggs that will helpful for IVF process.

Step 2: Egg Retrieval

In this step, pain killer is given to woman so that she did not feel any discomfort. A very thin needle is used to take eggs from ovaries. The egg, which is retrieved from woman’s ovary, is placed in the culture dish which contains nutrient media. Later, this egg will be transferred to the incubator.

Step 3: Fertilization

This is one of very important steps of IVF process in which fertilization takes place. Sperm sample is also secured from your partner so that it can mix with egg. A special chamber is used to mix male sperm and female egg. Now, mixture of sperm and egg is placed in the incubator and monitor to check that healthy embryo develops.

Step 4: Embryo transfer and implantation

This is final step of IVF process and after completing this step, couple will get good news for their child. Embryos are tested in the lab to check that which one is healthier. A small plastic catheter is used to transfer the healthier embryo into woman. After completion all steps of IVF, every doctor will recommended you to take bed rest atleast for 24 hours.
